Red Snuggie Star Wars Party in Spokane
There’s a Red Snuggie Party happening in Spokane, Washington this coming Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Baby Bar, starting at 9 PM. Participants will wear Red Snuggies and enjoy one of the worst TV Specials in World History on the 31st Anniversary of its airing. This Special features Chewbacca wearing a precursor to the Red Snuggie.

BACKSTORY — On November 17, 1978, CBS aired the ‘Star Wars Holiday Special’. It was so horrible that it was never shown again. George Lucas opined, ‘If I had the time and a sledgehammer, I would track down every copy of that show and smash it.’
Thanks to the Internet, now you can enjoy one of the worst TV specials of all time. The commercials are especially amazing.
Toward the end of the show, around 10 minutes from the end, Chewbacca and his family (his father Itchy, son Lumpy, and wife Malla), don Red robes which look like Red Snuggies.
