Here's my original note regarding the upcoming news as it came down the night of the show, which was Episode #10 in the show's history.

The Snuggie will be making an appearance on Jimmy Fallon tonight. It looks like Tracy Morgan will be a Snuggie clad guest and the audience will also be sporting Snuggies. Hopefully I'll have clips soon.

Also, Leno just told a Snugglette joke. It seems that Jay has a Snuggie joke every day. I give him til Monday to throw in a Designer Snuggie joke.

There's been a lot of activity and updates over at SnuggiePubCrawls.com. San Antonio, Texas hosted their first Snuggie Pub Crawl last night. For tonight, both San Diego and Minneapolis, MN are Snuggie Pub Crawling. Tomorrow night will be the second Nashville Snuggie Pub Crawl, which I plan to attend. So check out SnuggiePubCrawls.com for the latest news and updates.

Also, there are many more cities lining up to do crawls in the coming weeks, such as Louisville and Cincinnati.

So, I just wrote earlier this morning about how the Snuggie is the Security Blanket for the 21st Century. And then I ran across Just Hold Me on Newsweek, which posted about an hour ago. The article was well-written, humorous, and happens to mention the Snuggie as our Security Blanket. Hmm...That sounds familiar.

But seriously, I doubt that the writer of the article got that term here. It's just one of those things that's in the collective cultural air. So, not only will you be seeing the term "Pimp My Snuggie" a lot, you will also see a lot about "Snuggie as Security Blanket" out in the lexicon of right now...

...and word to the wise - start stockpiling those Snuggies now, because I think they'll be resold on eBay at profit come late November of this year. Remember how hard it was to find a Wii a couple of Christmases ago? I am telling you now, no matter how many Snuggies the Snuggie people churn out between now and then, they will not be able to meet demand. I could be wrong on this, but I don't think so. I do know that people are planning crazy things to do in Snuggies out in the heat and humidity of Summer - this will be way funny to see and I think the Snuggie is just beginning to heat up.

The Snuggie removes all anxiety associated with visiting the dentist. Snuggie = Dental Bliss.

UPDATE 07/29/09 - Now there is a Snuggie For Dogs. The original post here (below) was written by yours truly on March 13th. Here we are a few months later, and a Snuggie for Dogs is now a reality.

There is likely to be a Snuggie for dogs, or animals in general. There is just too many pics of dogs in Snuggies, and searches for 'Snuggie for Dogs' flying around and landing on this site via Google. I don't know how much of a true need a K9 would have for a Snuggie, and I could be wrong, but if I had to guess, I would not be surprised to see a dog Snuggie in the not too distant future.

While we wait for that inevitability and hold our collective breaths, here is Jeff, hanging with his pooches - Bishop and Bryan. And if ever a room cried out for a Designer Snuggie, Jeff is in that room. Of course, he sent this pic back in February and I'm just now getting to it (sorry Jeff...and Bishop and Bryan - better late than never).

The Snuggie train appears to be picking up steam. Last Friday, the Snuggie made an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show. I am now seeing a lot of Tweets and buzz over the Internet about the Snuggie making an appearance on the Tyra Banks show. We'll see if that happens. I wonder if there will be more Leopard and Zebra Snuggie Sightings?

I've got the Tivo set and will be posting clips and pics once/if this happens. And if I had to guess, I would say that Tyra will wear a Designer Snuggie - likely the Leopard Snuggie, but perhaps Zebra.

I even saw tweets about someone's Snuggie song perhaps being aired on Tyra, so there may be a Snuggie Song getting ready to be launched. We shall see. I'll keep you posted. And I'm glad to see Tyra trying to shake those off-base accusations that she copies Oprah. :)

Josh and his warehouse friends are back. They liked being named the #1 Snuggie Sighting for Month 1 so much, they decided to throw their Yellow hard hats into the ring and give it another go.

So, being the ever curious chap that I am, I did a search on "Viva La Chair" and found an obscure Gossip Girl reference. These Warehouse Snuggie Guys don't strike me as Gossip Girl fans, but you never know.

Let's see. Where was I?

Drilling in a Snuggie never gets boring (get it? Boring. He's drilling holes - as in 'boring' holes...oh, never mind. I guess I'll sit alone in the Pun Zone.)

So there you have it, my friends. The Snuggie Warehouse guys are back in action, staying warm and cozy, and keeping safety in mind at all times. I will leave you with one final shot from the warehouse. At first it appears to be your run-of-the-mill guy in a Snuggie pushing a dolly pic. But look closely.

When Josh emailed these, he 'apologized' for their large size, but he knew how I liked to zoom in on things and point stuff out in the background. Hmm...could that have been a little nudge and a hint to me? Well, I fell for it. Let's take a look-see on that box...well, would you look at that?!

Here is Tim, sporting the ever-rare Green Snuggie. He hoists a High-Life in one hand while flashing the Shocker with the other...or so he says. Perhaps he lost that last knuckle on his ring finger messing with the cool Indoor Birdhouse. Every home needs an Indoor Birdhouse. You decide - Shocker...or Tragic Indoor Birdhouse Accident? Regardless, the Snuggie eases all pain (Tim's High-Life is on standby, just in case things get ...wait for it...out of hand... bwahaha...sorry about that. It's late.).

From Wikipedia (and I'm dead serious, I couldn't make something this cool up) - 'The Shocker should not be confused with similar looking hand gestures, such as 'The Pitchfork' which is a hand signal used at Arizona State University. (notice the spacing between the index and middle finger).' ... So let me get this straight. The Pitchfork is like the Shocker meets the Peace Sign. We are all now enlightened.

Now that I look at Tim's pic again, and that spacing between Index and Tall Boy, I'd say he is flashing the Pitchfork.
