Here's my original note regarding the upcoming news as it came down the night of the show, which was Episode #10 in the show's history.

The Snuggie will be making an appearance on Jimmy Fallon tonight. It looks like Tracy Morgan will be a Snuggie clad guest and the audience will also be sporting Snuggies. Hopefully I'll have clips soon.

Also, Leno just told a Snugglette joke. It seems that Jay has a Snuggie joke every day. I give him til Monday to throw in a Designer Snuggie joke.

So, I just wrote earlier this morning about how the Snuggie is the Security Blanket for the 21st Century. And then I ran across Just Hold Me on Newsweek, which posted about an hour ago. The article was well-written, humorous, and happens to mention the Snuggie as our Security Blanket. Hmm...That sounds familiar.

But seriously, I doubt that the writer of the article got that term here. It's just one of those things that's in the collective cultural air. So, not only will you be seeing the term "Pimp My Snuggie" a lot, you will also see a lot about "Snuggie as Security Blanket" out in the lexicon of right now...

...and word to the wise - start stockpiling those Snuggies now, because I think they'll be resold on eBay at profit come late November of this year. Remember how hard it was to find a Wii a couple of Christmases ago? I am telling you now, no matter how many Snuggies the Snuggie people churn out between now and then, they will not be able to meet demand. I could be wrong on this, but I don't think so. I do know that people are planning crazy things to do in Snuggies out in the heat and humidity of Summer - this will be way funny to see and I think the Snuggie is just beginning to heat up.

Leaving my Snuggie Crystal Ball now to share with you this video from Newseek, on Snuggie vs. Slanket (the war of the Sleeved Blankets - it is epic).

Jay obviously loves the Snuggies. He seems to have a Snuggie joke every few days.

Also, I created this video using Photodex ProShow Producer. A site visitor pointed this software out to me and I'm grooving on it so far. I am just beginning to figure it out and added the reflection down at the bottom of the video. There's a lot more it can do that I hope to implement in the upcoming Month 2 Thank You Video Montage which I'm currently working on. (This website turns 2 months old tomorrow...Happy Birthday to SnuggieSightings.com!)

I just ran across this clip on YouTube which appears to be longer than the previous one I posted from Oprah's segment on the Snuggie from Friday, March, 6, 2009.
In this video, Oprah wears the Pink Snugglette and Tyler Perry is wearing the Zebra Designer Snuggie. Check it out.

UPDATE 3/11/09 - Harpo Productions has removed the video from YouTube. So...you cannot see said video. Sorry. I would like to point out that Harpo hit this site often in the weeks leading up to their show and used it to locate various clips they showed on their own show - namely the 107.5 the River Clip and the Fox and Friends entry that I had posted. So I am glad to be used as a source for your show, Oprah, and I won't even file you under 'Attribution Fail' (like I did this guy).

This just in ... Fox & Friends watch Oprah.

It is getting VERY hard to keep up with the tidal wave of Snuggie news hitting right now. I guess they are not ones to sit back and relax. Just yesterday I announced the new Snuggie for kids, available in Blue and Pink. Today, I present to you...(Snuggie Drum Roll Please)...Designer Snuggie.

The Designer Snuggie is available in 3 different prints - Zebra, Leopard, and Camel. You'll also recognize some familiar faces in the new Designer Snuggie commercial.

ORIGINAL POST from March 6th, 2009:
I really have no idea what this is. It is some sort of bizarre video, with strange music, containing models strutting in public in Snuggies. It appears to be some Snuggie Fashion Statement being made out in public. The Snuggie is going upscale.

As crazy as this may sound, the Snuggie is getting a lot of attention in Fashion Designer circles. A popular Italian Fashion Magazine will be featuring photos of Snuggie revelers from the recent Nashville Snuggie Pub Crawl.

NOTE TO ITALY: Look for us in next week's GIOIA magazine. And if you see any photos credited to SnuggieSightings.com and/or SnuggiePubCrawls.com, please email a scan or send an email to let me know how it turned out. I'm not finding too many GIOIA magazines (translated "Joy") at the corner store.

UPDATE: Here's the Gioia Magazine article on Snuggie that mentions this site.
