Megan and her brother Luke have been waiting patiently for their Snuggies to arrive. I've been following their Snuggie-less plight via Twitter. Well, today is their lucky day, and they cannot contain their Snuggie joy. From Melbourne, Australia, these are the first Snuggie Sightings submitted directly to me.
Megan with her famous Snuggie, which induced her to tweet in all caps...and I quote...\'OH MY GOSH!!! MY SNUGGIE ARRIVED!!!\'Luke reclines in perfect Snuggie bliss.
Congrats Megan. Your Snuggies are going to mean more to you than your movie collection behind you.
The Snuggie is a must have at all times, but especially in the Southern Hemisphere right now!
And I see from this final pic of Luke, that the Snuggie Restless Arm Syndrome has hopped the pond and is going to spread across Oz in no time.
Snuggie Restless Arm Syndrome - First Confirmed Case in Australia
The Snuggie Restless Arm Syndrome is the curious condition of Snuggie wearers being unable to keep their arms down to their side.
Keep them coming, Australia (and America, Canada, etc.) More on upcoming Media and Book appearances forthcoming - all you've got to do is submit a Snuggie Sighting and you could be a star.
The Snuggie continues its march toward blanketing the earth...with sleeves, hitting the Southern Hemisphere in the midst of Winter. Here are some of the first Snuggie Sightings to come in from Down Under. [Image no longer online]

Australian Snuggie BMX... You can't do this in a blanket!
(how long until Snuggie BMX is an Olympic Sport?)
Regardless of where you might find yourself on this little marble in the universe which we call Earth, you can proudly wear the Snuggie out and about.
Be sure to check out Team Crikey for more Australian Snuggie Sightings. I hear they are going to be posting updates about further features and fleecy fun with the Snuggie. Someday soon in Australia, our friend the Snuggie is going to be bigger than Crocodile Dundee.
What better way to spend a Saturday in our nation's capital than to hang out in a Snuggie and enjoy a Snuggie Pub Crawl?
SnuggiePubCrawls.com has the information.
Despite the weather warming up, cities are still get their Snug on. I'm also starting to get notes from Snuggie fans in Australia, clamoring to be the first there to do a Snuggie Pub Crawl. Contact Me to get on the SnuggiePubCrawls.com list of cities to help promote your event.
It was 'As Seen on TV' night at the Fresno Grizzlies minor league ballpark. What better thing to do between innings than have a Snuggie / ShamWow relay? As the Fresno Grizzlies tout it, this was the 'First Every Snuggie ShamWow LifeAlert Relay in the history of professional sports'. I'm sure it won't be the last. Roll YouTube.
There are signs indeed that the economy is beginning to turn around, thanks to the Snuggie. We all know how the Snuggie has lowered heating bills across the land, which has freed up consumer spending. Case in point: Lucas and his Snack of Choice - the Blackberry
[Photo not recovered: Lucas...dude...that is the wrong type of Blackberry. Not edible. You will be paying for that for 2 years.]Lucas...dude...that is the wrong type of Blackberry. Not edible. You will be paying for that for 2 years.
The 1st Annual (will their be a 2nd?) Game Show Awards aired on GSN last night, June 6, 2009 and was hosted by Howie Mandel. As with all Award Shows, it was VERY long. But the final segment was truly worthwhile. They gave away their big prize at the end. The big prize? A Snuggie, of course (and a few other trivial items like an electric car that was pushed out on stage, a cruise, and other boring, non-Snuggie related items).
Update: Here is the SNL Snuggie clip which aired earlier tonight, June 6, 2009. This was actually a rerun which originally aired on Feb. 7, 2009. The Snuggie makes an appearance on a Today Show spoof, with Kathy Lee dismissing the Snuggie. Hoda should have put it on.
