Many have wondered who is responsible for the Snuggie infomercials that have blanketed the airwaves. I see that Fred Vanore with Blue Moon Studios has been sure to upload his Snuggie work (and other As Seen on TV infomercials) on YouTube. For those of you who may have missed these recent Snuggie Commercials - here they are in all their Glory.
New Snuggie Colors (aka - Pink Snuggie and two other colors, Green Snuggie and Blue Snuggie.)
And of course there's the Designer Snuggie commercial
I'm sure we'll see these commercials from now through Christmas close to a thousand times - so prepare for the Snuggie Sightings.
Update 7.24.09 - Here is the new Snuggie commercial airing across Australia right now. Watch for SnuggieSightings.com to display alongside other media appearances for the Snuggie, roughly 18 seconds into the clip.

Original Post from 7.21.09 below --
I have seen footage of the latest Snuggie commercial that is airing in Australia and am awaiting a higher quality version to post online. During the intro of the commercial, this website's domain name makes an appearance.
This is the same commercial announcing the $10 price reduction on Snuggies in Australia. I will update this post once I have the video file and approval to post it online.
One additional note - the end of the commercial voiceover states "Warming Australia, one Snuggie at a Time" - that closely resembles the tag line of this website, "Making the World a Warmer Placeā¦One Snuggie at a Time" - Consider Mr. Snuggie Sightings honored. (Of course, I'm considering updating this site's tagline to "Blanketing the Earth...With Sleeves")
Microsoft's new search engine, Bing, has been making headlines recently as it tries to catch up to Google. They have been buying 2+ minutes worth of commercial time on various TV shows in order to run their 30 second commercial and 'give you two more minutes of what you want.'
That sounded all well and good until I saw how this was implemented. Notice in this video clip example from the Daily Show, as they cut to break, the Snuggie commercial starts and then they have the audacity to fast forward through it (and several other classic As Seen on TV gems, such as the Topsy Turvy Tomato Planter) before showing the Bing logo and getting you back to the Daily Show.

Bottom line: There is nothing on TV better than the Snuggie commercial. Nothing. If you were smart, Microsoft, you would have started your Bing commercial with one of those Apple "I'm a Mac" commercials and fast-forwarded through that. As it is, you've missed the mark by messing with our friend, the Snuggie (and even the Snuggie Diva, Jane DeNoble, who is cuddling up in her Snuggie when you hit the FF on her...the outrage!)
If Bing had pulled this stunt a few months ago, I would have missed the Snuggie commercial, and there would be no SnuggieSightings.com. Shudder.
I've read that the High Five from the Snuggie Commercial was improvised by Snuggie actress Jane DeNoble. In honor of the Snuggie High Five, here's a video of that historic moment, set to music...very bizarre music. (and also please note that I did not title the video below - the YouTube creator of the vid chose that title - you know you're the Snuggie Diva to me, Jane).

I just ran across this commercial on YouTube and it appears to have been uploaded by a user in Romania, under the title "Time to Get a Snuggie". I noticed that the commercial is different than the one airing in the States, as well as the phone number and pricing being different as well.
It also shows that the Snuggie is only available in Blue and Red currently in Romania, but at least the Blanket with Sleeves is getting into foreign markets. I look forward to more International Snuggie Sightings.

I ran into BM1988 and his animation on the Snuggie Nation Facebook Group. This reminded me that I have SnuggieNation.com just sitting there collecting dust in my domain name collection. So I've put SnuggieNation.com online and will start linking up various Snuggie related websites of interest (some my own, and some of others). Please send me links of sites that may be of interest to the Snuggie Nation.
It is getting VERY hard to keep up with the tidal wave of Snuggie news hitting right now. I guess they are not ones to sit back and relax. Just yesterday I announced the new Snuggie for kids, available in Blue and Pink. Today, I present to you...(Snuggie Drum Roll Please)...Designer Snuggie.
The Designer Snuggie is available in 3 different prints - Zebra, Leopard, and Camel. You'll also recognize some familiar faces in the new Designer Snuggie commercial.
The Snuggie is so hot, other companies are giving them free advertising, showing the blanket with sleeves in their own commercials (I suppose in an attempt to be relevant and grab onto some of the Snuggies magic marketing powers, and get spread around by gullable blog owners such as myself). The Snuggie gets more air time than the Jedidiah Clothing. You cannot help be drawn in by the uncorking of the Complimentary Booklight. Resistance is futile. Score another win for the Snuggie.
Throw out your Snuggies, Spring Wovens are here! from Jedidiah Clothing on Vimeo.
This commercial started it all for me - if I had never seen the video of a family sitting in the bleachers at a sporting event, cheering in their Snuggies, there would be no SnuggieSightings.com. I cannot image a world so dark.
