Brian wrote in to share about his recent Snuggie Camping Trip.

I was just sitting there, hanging with my football and my Bota Bag. I had the ShamWow on standby in case the Bota sprang a leak. I forgot that the awesome powers of the Snuggie would hold all bad things at bay. Not only did my Bota hold, we watched a rampaging Grizzly drop dead from a massive Bear Coronary once he entered the protective shield of the Snuggie.

Word to the wise, SnuggieSightings.com faithful, the Invincibility circle provided by the Snuggie is approximately 100 feet. I know what we are all collectively thinking...Mark Wahlberg really needed a Snuggie in 'The Happening' to hold the bad at bay.

Our first Public Service Announcement was such a success, we felt it was time for another.

WARNING: Do not try this at home.

There is a reason that the Snuggie opens in the back. Snuggies are so warm and cozy, if they were to close up the back, personages would be at risk of spontaneous combustion. In the above photo, Mark was literally playing with fire. What little body heat managed to escape the two Snuggies was trapped in his beard and the bill of his sweet lid.

So what have we learned today, kids? That there is one thing that you cannot do in a Snuggie. That one thing is called the Double Snuggie.

We are happy to report that Mark is doing well in rehab and the flash burns are healing nicely. He wishes to thank everyone for the cards, flowers, well wishes and that memorial fund, that although premature, has proved handy in paying off those pesky medical bills. Mark is the reason that the 2010 Physician's Desk Reference will have a new entry: Double Snuggie Heat Exhaustion.

I am in a Snuggie Video mood tonight/this morning/whatever time this is. Anywho...I previously posted what I thought was the best Snuggie parody video ever - see Socky, below.

Having a brush with Snuggie Parody greatness made me want to find the absolute worst Snuggie video I could find. So I went to YouTube and sorted Snuggie videos by rating and started scraping the bottom of the barrel. And what did I find? I found this ...

Offensive Title. Fake Snuggie. Bizarre music. Thankfully it only lasts 33 seconds. If you survive those 33 seconds, the bar of expectation will be underground. This will further enhance the awesomeness of the Socky video. The only redeeming thing to be found in this particular video is the groovy wood paneling, which reminds me of my childhood.

Great production. Many laughs (for me at least). Perfect Cheesy Acting. And the Socky is better than some other real-life products (I'm talking about you, Smitten Mitten). You can head over to Vimeo.com to check it out at the source, and leave a comment for Tim. This is talent.

Look for drinking of Sake in Socky's about half way through the vid. Now that's Punny. And at the time of this writing, mine was the 8th view of this video after 25 days online. I hope to see this spread. I realize this doesn't contain a single Snuggie Sighting in the video (shoot me and file this under 'Off Topic'), but although it is Snuggie-less, it has Snuggie written all over it. Agree?

In any language, the sheer awesomeness of the Snuggie translates. I find this video strangely amusing, although I don't know what they are saying.

I have a request from Life and Style Magazine, seeking a high-resolution photo of someone wearing a Snuggie. This photo will appear in an upcoming issue of their magazine. So strike your best Snuggie pose and capture the moment with your camera. Here are the requirements:

• Submission Deadline is Midnight tonight
• Photo must be 300 dpi resolution or greater
• The model must be wearing a Snuggie
• You agree by submitting your photo to appear on SnuggieSightings.com as well as potentially in Life and Style Magazine
• You must provide the model's name and way that I can verify they have agreed to appear in the magazine and on this website

Simply email your picture by clicking this link. Attach your picture to the email, and be certain that the photo is at least 300 dpi. I cannot guarantee that you will be selected for the magazine article, since that is beyond my control, but there is a chance you'll appear on SnuggieSightings.com.

UPDATE: The call for photo submissions for the magazine is now closed. Of course, you can always still submit your Snuggie Sightings for consideration for publication on this site. Keep an eye out for next week's issue of Life and Style Magazine to see if you made the cut.

I heard through the grapevine that there was a Sports Snuggie Sighting on ESPN. Tony Kornheiser wore a Snuggie on last Friday's Pardon the Interruption (PTI) on Valentine's Eve. Through the magic of Twitter, Tony has blessed his appearance on SnuggieSightings.com.
