Sarah's Snuggie Friday

Today is Snuggie Friday, so keep your eyes out for Snuggie Sightings in the Workplace.

Sarah received a Snuggie for her birthday last month. She quickly found that if she wore the Snuggie, she could get away with anything. Consider this:

[Photo not recovered: Sarah can now chat on the phone all day, and leave trash laying around her cube. No worries - the Snuggie is going to transport her to a corner office soon...That is actually wrapping paper from her newly unwrapped Snuggie. I'm sure she's picked it up by now.]

Sarah loves her Snuggie so much, she plays 'Walk Like an Egyptian' every hour, on the hour, and struts through the cube farm. The Snuggie livens up any workplace, and chases the chill from those pesky industrial grade air conditioner blasts.

Snuggie Sighting on Jack in the Box Commercial

I have seen mentions for a couple of weeks that there was a Snuggie Sighting on a Jack in the Box commercial, specifically during American Idol. I've not caught it, but thanks to @joesonthenose on Twitter for snapping this shot. You can say Aloha to Joes on the Nose here.

Are these genuine Snuggies in a new color? Or are these fake Snuggies? Either way, Jack in the Box is using the Snuggie to help promote their own business.

Dr. Blogstein and Judge Cristina Perez Discuss the Snuggie

I was a guest on the Dr. Blogstein Radio Happy Hour on March 31, 2009 (click here for my Snuggie episode - I appear about half way through the show). The next week, Dr. Blogstein had Judge Cristina Perez from Fox Television's Cristina's Court on, and the conversation quickly turned to the Snuggie.

Click here for the audio clip of their warm and cozy Snuggie conversation. (mp3 file - 54 seconds). Dr. Blogstein suggests she wear a Snuggie as her judge's robe on the show. All I can say to Judge Cristina Perez is that if you put on a Designer Zebra or Leopard Snuggie, you are virtually guaranteed another daytime Emmy.

You can click here to visit Judge Cristina Perez's website.

Judge Cristina Perez, host of Fox Television's 'Cristina's Court' holds her 2008 Daytime Emmy. The Snuggie would make a great Judge's Robe, Cristina.

Dallas Snuggie Event Today

The Million Snuggie Snug is today, April 16th, in Dallas, TX.

Here's a quote from the MillionSnuggieSnug.com homepage to help describe what this Snuggie Charity Event is:

'You’re invited... to the most important Snuggie event in modern times:

What is it? Well, it’s a whole lot of creative, fun-loving people joining sleeves to help end homelessness in Dallas. Show up at The Quarter Bar on Thursday, April 16 wearing a Snuggie™, eat, drink, be merry, and make a donation to The Stewpot, a resource center for the homeless.

But why in a Snuggie™, you ask? Because you’ll get in free. Because it’s fun and noticeable. And lest we forget, because TM Advertising will donate $10 to The Stewpot for every person wearing a Snuggie™ that night. You can even donate your Snuggie™ if you like.'

King Snuggie in a Bathroom Snuggie Sighting

Manuel submitted this Royal Snuggie Sighting about a month ago (sorry - there's a lot of Snuggie Sightings).

He pointed me to this Flickr pic of his:

He calls it 'King Snuggie, Early Prototype'. All I can say is that this is a tough picture to take through a mask...and it reminds me of Alex!!!!
Alex was on the site in January, one of the earlier Snuggie Sightings and probably the first Snuggie Cell Phone Self Portrait I had seen at the time. Memories. How ya' doin, Alex!!!?

Thanks, Manuel. We need to see King Snuggie on his throne.

Kristin Chenoweth in a Snuggie on Leno

The website Jezebel has a video of actress Kristin Chenoweth wearing a red Snuggie.

Snuggie Chenoweth recommended a Petite Size Snuggie. This would be a Snugglette that she's looking for - the Snuggie for kids.

The Snuggie Makes Meetings Awesome

I have personally sat through (suffered through) THOUSANDS of pointless meetings. You know what I'm talking about - you sit for two hours, waiting for the one minute of personal relevance. Well, check this out...Jason shows how it should be done in Corporate America.

[This YouTube video has since been removed by its owner.]

Have you ever been in a meeting that was this alive and fun and filled with laughter? All you have to do to make your meetings more interesting and convert them into must attend events is to put on a Snuggie. You don't have to bribe your staff with food.

So not only does the Blanket with Sleeves help lower heating bills, it saves you money on catering costs. By wearing a Snuggie to meetings, the job you save may be your own, thanks to the savings to the bottom line (and the boost to staff morale).
