Snuggie: The Musical

They write, "The three of us were always cold backstage and joked about wanting Snuggies to wear. Well, our leading lady took us up on that - bought us Snuggies AND put our names on them. I think this picture says it all. What do you think about SNUGGIE: THE MUSICAL??? I think it's the best idea I've ever heard."

Two words....

Do. It.

Snuggie Off-Roading

Here's Shauna, wearing her Snuggie while going for a warm and cozy ride.

Drew Barrymore in a Designer Zebra Snuggie? Nope...

NOTE TO WORLD: This is not a Designer Zebra Snuggie. This is called a dress. Photo courtesy RadarOnline.com.

I get the occasional Tweet or email with people sending me pictures of potential Snuggie Sightings, asking me to confirm or deny whether the wearer is donning a Snuggie, or simply wearing some lame thing like a bathrobe. I had to put this query out there for the world, so that we are all clear.

Here's an example Tweet from a much closer call. Here's the TwitPic Link to see what could be a Black Plush Snuggie being worn backwards on a sidewalk. I went back and forth on that one in the Tweet Stream of that conversation, giving the pros and cons for each side. I think I decided that particular TwitPic was not a Black Plush Snuggie.

I'm much more confident in my assessment of the Drew Barrymore Designer Zebra Snuggie Sighting FAIL. Keep sending in your potential Snuggie Sightings. That's what I'm here for. Happy to serve the Snuggie Nation.

More Peeps in Snuggies

Here are a couple of Peeps Snuggie Sightings that I was alerted to by a Twitter buddy.

Snuggie Sighting in the Washington Post Peep Contest

The 3rd Annual Washington Post Peep contest - aka Peeps Show III - narrowed their original list of 1,100 gooey submissions to a final 40. You can go here to view the 40 Finalists.

A Snuggie Book member alerted me to entry #39.

The Entry that Should Have Won. Peeps Snuggie Sighting while watching As Seen on Peep TV.

'As Seen on Peep TV' by Sarah Kohari and Erin Mastrangelo of Washington. "It started with a Snuggie obsession, really," writes Kohari. "The idea was to somehow get a peep into a Snuggie in a realistic way, such as lying on his couch reading a book like the happy folks in the infomercial." Hint: There are 16 as-seen-on-TV products in the diorama, including a ThighMaster and a Cash 4 Gold kit.'

Entry #1 on the slideshow was the eventual winner. There are no Snuggies in that entry, however, so I think an investigation is in order. Perhaps next year there will be Designer Snuggie Peeps and they'll take home the prize for Snuggie Nation.

This animation is by BM1988 on GoAnimate.com.

I ran into BM1988 and his animation on the Snuggie Nation Facebook Group. This reminded me that I have SnuggieNation.com just sitting there collecting dust in my domain name collection. So I've put SnuggieNation.com online and will start linking up various Snuggie related websites of interest (some my own, and some of others). Please send me links of sites that may be of interest to the Snuggie Nation.

Hockey Snuggie Sighting

Reason number 10,018 that Twitter is awesome. Snuggie Sighting submissions from Twitter users such as quick13. He tweeted this Snuggie Sighting my way.

This is from Puck Daddy on Yahoo Sports. The notes accompanying this Sports Snuggie Sighting related that it was a Habs vs. Leafs game in Montreal a couple of weeks ago.

From the looks of this photo, one can safely wear a Snuggie to a hockey game without suffering ridicule. It's safe out there, Snuggie fans. Wear them with pride. Those guys carrying the drinks are cheering him on. They are offering their words of encouragement, saying things like 'You are the coolest' and 'Here. We bought you some refreshing beverages. Enjoy, Snuggie Man.' The Snuggie is the ultimate ice breaker, gaining you fast friends for life.

And The Winner Is...

The winner of the Designer Leopard Snuggie at the Snuggie Concert in Nashville was May.

Appropriately enough, she had arrived at the Snuggie Concert wearing a Green Blanket (which she has in her left hand in the picture above). May has been freed from the evil clutches of the Blanket (which can slip and slide and leave your hands TRAPPED inside) and now has one of the world's first Designer Snuggies. Congratulations, May.
