Snuggie Bling
Emily and her brother, Jordan, donned their Snuggies at the local watering hole.
...and is it just me, or does Jordan look a lot like Andy Samberg of SNL fame???

It seems everyone wants to stake their claim to Snuggie history. There is something to be said in being first related to the Snuggie. Well, apparently a New Orleans Mardi Gras Snuggie reveler saw the post about NickNock in St. Louis, sporting their Snuggies and Beads. Allen sent in these pics, claiming that they are from February 20, 2009 - during the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans.
Allen wanted me to set the record straight, that he and his friend Eric, in the red Snuggie, were the originators of this idea a (and I quote): "full day before, on February 20, 2009 in New Orleans, Louisisana (his spelling). I have attached a few photos of our snug-stoumes (again, his spelling) from that night on Burbon (once again, his spelling). We would like the record corrected." (that must have been SOME party going down on Bourbon Street).
So Allen, I have corrected the record, giving you your due. Now please put that Snuggie on correctly. For further enlightenment related to the Backward Snuggie, please see Snuggie PSA - Friends Don't Let Friends Wear their Snuggie Backwards and Backwards Snuggies - Stemming the Tide...the life you change may be your own.
Congrats on making Mardi Gras history. I'm sure 2010 Mardi Gras is going to have a sea of Snuggies.
While the world went to the Watchmen premiere's at 12:01 AM Friday, I was home hitting Twitter Search. There were several poetic tweets out there in the wild, all sent via cell phones, that said basically..."Dude. Just saw a dude in a Snuggie at the theater." So being the polite person that I am, I started tweeting these Twitter Poets, asking them to get a picture and send it in. (Have I mentioned before how amazing Twitter is?) Thanks to Valloq for forwarding this pic. And I believe the person who took the actual shot is the proud owner of this website (trying to provide proper attribution).
And special note to the dude in the pic: I suppose you don't mind being on this site, considering that you wore a Snuggie to the Watchmen Premiere. Nothing says 'Notice Me' quite like that. If you spot yourself here, please let me know your name so I can give you props as well for sporting the Snuggie in public.
There are many mentions on Twitter Search about people wearing Snuggies to the Watchmen Midnight Screenings. I've been tweeting replies, hoping that someone will get a real Snuggie Watchmen Sighting for the Midnight premiere. I also ran across this photo from Gizmodo (that is one of the coolest rhymes I'm likely to run across this month). Check out Gizmodo's 104 Ways to Hilariously Ruin the Watchmen Movie. The Photo above garnered 4th place in their contest. So go there and check out 103 more!
UPDATE 9/15 - Snuggie Fashion Show Photos

ORIGINAL POST from March 6th, 2009:
I really have no idea what this is. It is some sort of bizarre video, with strange music, containing models strutting in public in Snuggies. It appears to be some Snuggie Fashion Statement being made out in public. The Snuggie is going upscale.
As crazy as this may sound, the Snuggie is getting a lot of attention in Fashion Designer circles. A popular Italian Fashion Magazine will be featuring photos of Snuggie revelers from the recent Nashville Snuggie Pub Crawl.
NOTE TO ITALY: Look for us in next week's GIOIA magazine. And if you see any photos credited to SnuggieSightings.com and/or SnuggiePubCrawls.com, please email a scan or send an email to let me know how it turned out. I'm not finding too many GIOIA magazines (translated "Joy") at the corner store.
UPDATE: Here's the Gioia Magazine article on Snuggie that mentions this site.

Amanda sent in these great Snuggie pics of her and her sis, Ashley, Snuggie-Gating at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL on February 21, 2009.
Here they are, just minding their own business in their Snuggies.
The sheer awesomeness of their choice of sleeved blankets caused a Monster Jam Truck Show to instantaneously break out.
NOTE TO ANNOYING RADIO ANNOUNCER GUY: Replace 'Sundaaay, Sundaaay, Sundaaay' with 'Snuggie Snuggie Snuggie' to immediately triple your average attendance.
I ask you, Snuggie Sightings Fans, is there anything the Snuggie cannot do?
UPDATE: 3/20/09 - The Original Snuggie Pub Crawlers from Cincinnati now have an Official Website - Go to SnuggieShuffle.com to see the latest news related to these Snuggie Visionaries.
OLD UPDATE from 2/24/09 - Check out the 'Cincinnati Six' on our new site, SnuggiePubCrawls.com. Here is the announcement from earlier today. These guys are finally going to get the credit they're due.
It is a date that will go down in history. Six men made one small step for themselves...

...but one giant leap for the Snuggie Nation. We now have the official date of the First Snuggie Pub Crawl.
On this historic night, these 6 Snuggie Pioneers bundled up in their Snuggies, braving the elements.
This night proved historic in many ways. Not only was it the first Snuggie Pub Crawl and the first Snuggie Fight, the first symptoms of Snuggie Restless Arm Syndrome arose.
Look for their website, coming soon. You have been warned. These guys are going to be huge.
You cannot go bowling in a blanket. And the Snuggie goes well with the always fashionable pair of bowling shoes. The Snuggie Bowling League (SBL) has sprung forth onto the scene.
'We want to avoid any Steroid scandals. The SBL will be a clean sport. Since we never roll a gutter, thanks to our Snuggies, there will doubters. I hear the whispers all the time. 'Whisper whisper whisper. That cool girl in the Snuggie has to be juicing'. It is sad that the world cannot embrace the fact that the Snuggie can turn anyone into the next Earl Anthony. So that is why we require the urine samples before each frame. Not each tournament, but each frame. To silence the whispers. It is a small price to pay...It was juicing that killed the Slanket Bowling League. Those poor Slanket people.'
