So, I just wrote earlier this morning about how the Snuggie is the Security Blanket for the 21st Century. And then I ran across Just Hold Me on Newsweek, which posted about an hour ago. The article was well-written, humorous, and happens to mention the Snuggie as our Security Blanket. Hmm…That sounds familiar.

But seriously, I doubt that the writer of the article got that term here. It’s just one of those things that’s in the collective cultural air. So, not only will you be seeing the term “Pimp My Snuggie” a lot, you will also see a lot about “Snuggie as Security Blanket” out in the lexicon of right now…

…and word to the wise – start stockpiling those Snuggies now, because I think they’ll be resold on eBay at profit come late November of this year. Remember how hard it was to find a Wii a couple of Christmases ago? I am telling you now, no matter how many Snuggies the Snuggie people churn out between now and then, they will not be able to meet demand. I could be wrong on this, but I don’t think so. I do know that people are planning crazy things to do in Snuggies out in the heat and humidity of Summer – this will be way funny to see and I think the Snuggie is just beginning to heat up.
