Don’t Cry Over Forgotten Milk … or How Your Mother Met the Snuggie

without comments

This is a follow up to the Father Reflects on Where the Milk Run Went Wrong posting.

The Three Snugglettes

The Three Snugglettes

These 3 boys caused their old man to forget the milk, coming home instead with a lot of As Seen on TV Goodness – specifically a Snuggie, a ShamWow, and AquaGlobes.

The dad was worried his wife would not take the news of the forgotten milk well, so he quickly wrapped her in the cozy warmth of the Snuggie. All was well, and ironically the Snuggie commercial unspooled in the background on the TV.

The Snuggie saves the day!

This mother hugged her kids while the dad excused himself to grab the camera and lower the thermostat 10 degrees, so as to lower the heating bill (since the commercial reminded him of this helpful tip).

And, in an attempt to dispel those ugly Internet rumors, these pics should prove once and for all that the Snuggie does not produce static.

The excitement of the Snuggie is a hair-raising experience. This is not static. Would this Snugglette be flashing the peace sign if he was experiencing a static shock? I don't think so!

Once again...this proves nothing. That could have been Photoshopped. Certainly a gust of wind passed through. This is not static.

Snuggie Static? Let me think.

Father Reflects on Where the Milk Run Went Wrong

with one comment

Mike W. wrote in to share about his recent Milk Run Forgetfulness. The assignment was easy: take the 3 boys and run to the corner store and grab a gallon of Whole Milk. All was going well until Mike and the boys happened upon the ‘As Seen on TV’ section. Pictured in this Polaroid is the cause of his Memento Moment.

'Whoa! The gang is all here. Must. Resist. Don't. See. Snuggie. Think. I. Can...uh-oh. Is that a Snuggie display over there? I'm in trouble.'

Remember when kids used to beg for candy at stores? Those days are officially over.

The forgetful dad may not have made it home with the milk, but his boys are glad to report that Mom is warm and cozy in her Snuggie, is able to clean spills with her ShamWow, and her AquaGlobes make for stylish earrings, suitable for a Dinner Party or a Night Out on the Town.
