Blanketing Australia with Sleeves
The Snuggie continues it’s march towards world domination, taking Australia by storm. (Snuggie fans in Australia can order their Snuggie or Snuggie for kids here – SnuggieAustralia.com) So here’s how the Snuggie phenomenon starts – someone gets a Snuggie. Before you know it, someone wants to share the warmth, and often (for whatever reason) a bottle of alcohol makes an appearance. Here are some recent Snuggie Sightings sent my way from some good Facebook friends from Australia.
The magic with the Snuggie is that it is one size fits all, and when we say all, we mean, ALL. There’s always room for one more friend to join the Fleecy Frivolity. Always.
If you can’t wear the Snuggie, you at least want to get close to it – perhaps feel the fleece, lick some chocolate off your fingers like Barney here…you know, typical Snuggie fun.
Snuggie Cerveza
I received a submission from Tara, who appeared on this site a while back, doing the YMCA in a parking lot. Here’s her note and Snuggie Sighting as a way to ‘pay it forward’. And I quote: ‘My name is Tara and I was “snuggie sighted” doing the YMCA in a snuggie a week or 2 ago. I’m paying it forward with this sighting of my friend Lisa who came home after happy hour, popped on a snuggie on one of the hottest days of the summer, and passed the f out. Enjoy.’
Wearing a Snuggie to Work – Yes or No
Here in the United States at least, we have this thing called Summer going on. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. It is that time of year when it gets quite toasty – like wearing a Snuggie any time you walk outdoors. But most of us working stiffs spend 8+ hours inside an office, which usually blasts air conditioning (to keep the worker drones awake). So the question arises – is it ok to wear a Snuggie to work?
What are you waiting for? I’m here to tell all of you who wonder if it is ok to get Snug in your cube (I’ve seen the tweets) that it is beyond ok – it is a wise career move. And if you or a co-worker wears a Snuggie in the office, please send pics (or it didn’t happen).
