Since the San Francisco Chronicle called SnuggieSightings.com the ‘Snuggie Information Clearinghouse‘ (I may get that Snuggie Pulitzer yet), I need to get all ‘Information Clearinghousey’ in here as it relates to Baby Snuggie and all the blog posts bouncing around now.

May I SNUGgest that this is NOT Baby Snuggie?

So here’s what’s going on with this. Seems like there are companies out there trying to latch onto the Snuggie’s popularity (imagine!) to try and promote their own product. Or perhaps someone is crying Slanket Tears out there and trying to make Snuggie look bad (impossible). Regardless, the Peekaru is not coming from the Snuggie people. Snuggie for Babies, this is not.

Think about it. Everything Snuggie does has to do with a Blanket with Sleeves. As I’ve said before, 98.9% of the comedy of the Snuggie is from the Elbow to the Wrist of those oversized sleeves (that’s why no one can keep their arms down when wearing a Snuggie, which led to the coining of the term ‘Snuggie Restless Arm Syndrome’).

I have NO idea what a Baby Snuggie may actually look like, but I know this ain’t it. So I’ve noticed all these posts and blogs throwing this thing out there as ‘Baby Snuggie’ and one thing leads to another and now it is being reported as fact.

Can we all now agree that this thing is not Baby Snuggie and move on? And I do not know if the Snuggie people are going to even make a Baby Snuggie or not, but at the rate that this Peekaru thing is being spread, it seems something is in the air. We’ll wait and see.

I happened upon a website the other day that belonged to Cate Scott. She’s a professional photographer, and based on her Snuggie pictures, I asked her if I could post one on this website.

She has graciously agreed. There are a couple more great shots of this Snuggie Kid…nay Snuggie Giant (Rylan), who is showing just how true the One-Size-Fits-All claim of the Snuggie commercial really is.

Perhaps it is a picture such as this that inspired the Snuggie People to invent the Snugglette.
