A Twitter buddy tells me that Tyra Banks is giving away Snuggies.

Hmm. Didn’t Oprah do that not too long ago? But, I digress. The link is currently dead for her show page, so the Snuggie has perhaps crashed her servers (I can relate).

The Snugglettes and Designer Snuggies are must haves. As soon as I can get a working link for Tyra’s Snuggie Giveaway, I’ll update this post to send you to where you can actually sign up to win one of these awesome Snuggies.

The Snuggie train appears to be picking up steam. Last Friday, the Snuggie made an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show. I am now seeing a lot of Tweets and buzz over the Internet about the Snuggie making an appearance on the Tyra Banks show. We’ll see if that happens. I wonder if there will be more Leopard and Zebra Snuggie Sightings?

I’ve got the Tivo set and will be posting clips and pics once/if this happens. And if I had to guess, I would say that Tyra will wear a Designer Snuggie – likely the Leopard Snuggie, but perhaps Zebra.

I even saw tweets about someone’s Snuggie song perhaps being aired on Tyra, so there may be a Snuggie Song getting ready to be launched. We shall see. I’ll keep you posted. And I’m glad to see Tyra trying to shake those off-base accusations that she copies Oprah. 🙂

Update 3/11/09 – Harpo Productions has had the YouTube videos removed. They were not mine, I simply embedded them on this site, but the source files were from someone else on YouTube…so if you want to see Oprah in a Snuggie, I guess you’ll have to find a re-run…or you could just watch out for Tyra in a Snuggie, which is due to hit any day now.

Oprah chats with Mr. Snuggie, Scott Boilen, about the success of the Snuggie. The panel on Oprah’s show, which included Tyler Perry in a Zebra Snuggie, seemed to doubt that people would wear Snuggies out in public, to theaters, etc.

Although Scott didn’t point Oprah’s viewers to SnuggieSightings.com (sigh) for proof of Snuggies in Public, he did mention that people are out Pub Crawling in Snuggies.
