I have seen footage of the latest Snuggie commercial that is airing in Australia and am awaiting a higher quality version to post online. During the intro of the commercial, this website’s domain name makes an appearance.

This is the same commercial announcing the $10 price reduction on Snuggies in Australia. I will update this post once I have the video file and approval to post it online.

One additional note – the end of the commercial voiceover states “Warming Australia, one Snuggie at a Time” – that closely resembles the tag line of this website, “Making the World a Warmer Place…One Snuggie at a Time” – Consider Mr. Snuggie Sightings honored. (Of course, I’m considering updating this site’s tagline to “Blanketing the Earth…With Sleeves”)

The Snuggie continues it’s march towards world domination, taking Australia by storm. (Snuggie fans in Australia can order their Snuggie or Snuggie for kids here – SnuggieAustralia.com) So here’s how the Snuggie phenomenon starts – someone gets a Snuggie. Before you know it, someone wants to share the warmth, and often (for whatever reason) a bottle of alcohol makes an appearance. Here are some recent Snuggie Sightings sent my way from some good Facebook friends from Australia.

The magic with the Snuggie is that it is one size fits all, and when we say all, we mean, ALL. There’s always room for one more friend to join the Fleecy Frivolity. Always.

If you can’t wear the Snuggie, you at least want to get close to it – perhaps feel the fleece, lick some chocolate off your fingers like Barney here…you know, typical Snuggie fun.

Here’s a … different type of Snuggie parody. I suppose if Christopher McCandless, the extreme survivalist who was the subject of the 2007 film ‘Into the Wild‘, had a Snuggie, he may have survived…or at least his rotting corpse would have been wrapped in a blanket with sleeves when it was discovered in that bus…but I digress. Much of this clip will make absolutely no sense if you are not familiar with the ‘Into the Wild’ story, but there are Snuggie Sightings nonetheless.
